Dual-Sebum Probiotic Factor
Dual-Sebum Probiotic Factor
Dual-microbe fermented blended oil-control & repairing raw material; acts bidirectionally internally and externally: on one hand, inhibits sebum synthesis pathway to control oil; on the other hand, repairs photodamage and strengthens skin barrier; improves oily skin concerns including shine, enlarged pores, outer-oily inner-dry condition and yellowing caused by lipid oxidation
Product overview
Dual-Bacteria Oil-Control Factor is developed based on *Thermus thermophilus* surviving extreme environments and *Pseudoalteromonas* from offshore waters of Kenting, Taiwan. Produced via modern biological fermentation technology, it effectively blocks external skin stressors, mitigates sebum overproduction triggered by skin stress, inhibits 5α-reductase activity and interrupts sebum generation pathways for favorable oil-control performance

Mechanism of Action
1. Root sebum regulation pathway (*Pseudoalteromonas* ferment filtrate): Inhibit 5α-reductase activity and reduce testosterone conversion into DHT. It also modulates PPARγ‑ACC‑SCD1 sebum synthesis pathway, decreases triglyceride synthesis in sebaceous glands, reduces sebum secretion and improves oily shine and enlarged pores.
2. Photodamage repair pathway (*Thermus thermophilus* ferment filtrate): Rich in glutathione, polyamino acids and thermostable proteins. It protects against UVB photodamage, improves survival rate of damaged fibroblasts, promotes cell proliferation and migration to support epidermal repair.
3. Antioxidant pathway: Scavenge free radicals, slow lipid oxidation and relieve dull yellow and rough skin texture caused by lipid oxidation.
4. Barrier protection pathway: Strengthen skin tolerance to external stimuli such as temperature and UV, reduce stress-induced sebum secretion triggered by external aggressors and improve combination oily & dehydrated skin.
Experimental Data
1. UVB photodamage repair test (HSF human skin fibroblasts): At 3% incorporation level, cellular repair capacity increases by approx. 733.37%.
2. Cell scratch wound repair test: For 3% sample group, the wound closure area of HSF cells reaches 21.39%.
3. Sebocyte triglyceride inhibition test: At 100 nM Sebo-Control Bi-factor, insulin-induced TG triglyceride production in sebocytes is reduced by 73.4%.
4. Human grease spot in-vivo test: Over observation period, the growth rate of grease spot size in sample group is markedly lower than control group, showing oil-controlling efficacy.
5. Human in-vivo observation: Formulation with 3% active addition, upon continuous use, reduces facial sebum secretion, refines enlarged pores and repairs skin barrier.

Key benefits
1. Dual-strain synergy for internal & external skin care: Pseudoalteromonas fermentate inhibits lipid synthesis via multi-pathways; Thermus thermophilus fermentate focuses on photodamage resistance, cell repair and antioxidant activity. It controls oil while repairing barrier to improve oily surface with dry underlying skin.
2. Multi-target oil control: inhibits 5α-reductase and interferes with the downstream sebogenic pathway of PPARγ‑ACC‑SCD1 to reduce triglyceride production at the source, rather than simple oil absorption.
3. Fermentation-derived active components with antioxidant and cell wound repair capacity, suitable for oily sensitive skin in all seasons.
4. Supported by multi-dimensional efficacy data from in vitro cell assays and human in vivo tests.
