Eryngium Exosome
Eryngium Exosome
Plant extracellular vesicle repairing raw material; vesicle particle size approx. 30‑150 nm; rich in secondary metabolites such as polyphenols, flavonoids and triterpenoid saponins; multiple benefits including repair promotion, collagen synthesis stimulation, antioxidant activity and anti‑inflammation; animal‑free source with good formulation compatibility
Product overview
Studies reveal that secondary metabolites from Eryngium maritimum possess unique structures and bioactivities including anti-aging, repair, whitening and anti-acne, showing high development potential. Plant exosomes feature three natural advantages: ① Targeting capability: intelligently recognizes surface proteins to act on damaged cells for efficient and precise cell repair. ② High permeability: nano-sized particles as small as 30 nm in diameter can penetrate the skin and reach the deep dermis. ③ High stability: protects internal cargos from degradation and prevents deactivation of certain active ingredients.

Mechanism of Action
1. Epidermal repair pathway: Upregulate the expression of VEGF and bFGF growth factors, support fibroblast proliferation, promote microvessel formation and accelerate epidermal tissue repair.
2. Anti-aging & elasticity-maintaining pathway: Inhibit the activity of MMP‑1 matrix metalloproteinase; upregulate the expression of type Ⅰ and type Ⅲ collagen to preserve dermal collagen structure.
3. Antioxidant pathway: Scavenge DPPH and ABTS free radicals to reduce skin damage induced by oxidative stress.
4. Soothing & anti-pigmentation pathway: Downregulate the secretion of inflammatory factors IL‑8 and IL‑1β, relieve inflammatory response and lower the risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation.
Experimental Data
1. Growth factor protein expression test (1% ERM): VEGF protein expression increases by 77.5% and bFGF protein expression increases by 90.8% compared with model group.
2. Animal wound healing test (1% ERM): Wound healing time is shortened by approximately 3 days vs model group; more granulation tissue, new capillaries and fibroblasts are observed.
3. MMP‑1 inhibition test (1% ERM): MMP‑1 inhibition rate is 36.36%.
4. Collagen expression test (1% ERM): Type Ⅰ collagen expression increases by 100%; Type Ⅲ collagen expression increases by 125%.
5. Free radical scavenging test: IC₅₀ of ERM for DPPH radical = 0.3239 mg/mL; IC₅₀ for ABTS radical = 0.2965 mg/mL. At 0.5 mg/mL, ERM achieves 73% DPPH scavenging and 70% ABTS scavenging.
6. Inflammatory cytokine inhibition test: ERM reduces IL‑8 level by 56.25% and IL‑1β level by 50%.
7. Human skin repair assessment (2% ERM repair gel): Scab shedding and swelling reduction start on day 7; redness subsides with large area of neo-skin formed on day 14; scabs fully shed on day 28, regenerated skin is smooth without obvious inflammatory pigmentation.
