Microcapsule 677
Microcapsule 677
Phospholipid nanovesicle delivery system, enables targeted delivery and sustained release, reduces irritation and improves ingredient stability
Product overview
A new-generation multi-target whitening raw material developed based on microcapsule technology. The microcapsules form stable, ordered, functional microspherical vesicle structures through non-covalent intermolecular interactions such as hydrogen bonding, electrostatic forces and hydrophobic effects. The microcapsule technology enables targeted delivery and sustained release of active substances and lowers the incidence of adverse reactions to protect skin and reduce irritation. Powered by a quadruple whitening matrix composed of Sepiwhite MSH, ergothioneine, pterostilbene and hexylresorcinol, it breaks the limitations of single whitening ingredients and builds a full-path whitening closed loop. The brightening effect works beyond the skin surface, delivering a translucent whitening miracle with synergistic effect of 1+1+1+1 > 4 for the whole skin

Mechanism of Action
1. Activate autophagy pathway: upregulate LC3 expression, enhance autophagic activity and promote the degradation of melanosomes in keratinocytes.
2. Inhibit tyrosinase activity to reduce pigment production.
3. Downregulate the expression of TRP1/2 and MITF to modulate proteins related to melanin synthesis.
4. Inhibit NF‑κB signaling pathway, downregulate COX‑2 and block PGE2 synthesis to alleviate inflammation-induced pigment formation.
5. Inhibit melanocyte dendrite development and downregulate Rab27a protein, hindering the transfer of melanosomes to keratinocytes.
6. Scavenge reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reduce the risk of melanocyte activation triggered by oxidative stress.
7. Ergothionein acts on mitochondria to scavenge exogenous free radicals inside and outside cells. Meanwhile, it protects the formula system for antioxidation and color stabilization.
Experimental Data
1. Hexylresorcinol tyrosinase inhibition test: IC50 for human tyrosinase = 94 μmol/L, much lower than kojic acid (500 μmol/L) and arbutin (>4000 μmol/L).
2. 3D reconstructed melanoderm model test: 0.4% hexylresorcinol inhibits UVB-induced melanogenesis with melanin inhibition rate of 59.3%.
3. ROS scavenging test (hexylresorcinol): At 10 μmol/L, hexylresorcinol achieves 42.11% cellular ROS inhibition under blue light model.
4. Pterostilbene cell proliferation test: Within 20–50 μmol/L, pterostilbene shows stronger inhibitory effect on B16F1 melanocyte proliferation than resveratrol.
5. Pterostilbene DPPH scavenging test: DPPH scavenging rate reaches 88.99% at 10% concentration.
6. SDL protein expression test: At 0.001%, SDL reduces HMGB1 release, downregulates Rab27a, shortens melanocyte dendrites and suppresses melanosome transport.
7. Ergothioneine antioxidant test: It reduces intracellular ROS level in HaCaT cells in a concentration-dependent manner.
8. Ergothioneine tyrosinase inhibition test: Tyrosinase inhibition rate reaches 90% at 6 mg/mL.
9. Microcore 677 efficacy test: At 0.4% addition level, it delivers 71.3% inhibition on UV-induced melanin production in melanocytes.

Key benefits
1. Full‑chain multi-target whitening, covering the complete pathway from gene regulation and enzyme activity inhibition to melanin transport blockade.
2. Microcapsule vesicle delivery technology achieves targeted controlled release, reduces raw material irritation and improves skin tolerance.
3. Excellent formulation stability; ergothioneine assists color protection and mitigates raw material discoloration induced by light exposure.
4. Regulatory safety advantage: hexylresorcinol features easier safety assessment, clear historical usage records and lower filing difficulty.
5. Synergistic enhancement of four active ingredients; hexylresorcinol, pterostilbene, melanostatine and ergothioneine work together to break the whitening limitations of single ingredients.
